At Hoface International School, we believe in the power of community and collaboration to create positive change in the lives of individuals with diverse learning needs. Our Volunteer Program offers individuals from around the world the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while experiencing the beauty of cultural exchange in the heart of Kenya.
Hoface International School is a special boarding institution founded in 2020 to provide specialized education and holistic care for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Located in Mombasa, Kenya, our school is dedicated to fostering an enriching and therapeutic learning environment where every student can thrive and reach their fullest potential.
Volunteer Opportunities
We welcome volunteers with diverse backgrounds, skills, and interests to join us in supporting our mission and making a positive impact on the lives of our students.
- Assisting teachers and therapists in the classroom
- Providing one-on-one support to students during academic and therapeutic activities
- Participating in recreational and leisure activities with students
- Assisting with administrative tasks and special projects
- Contributing to the development and implementation of educational programs and initiatives

Meet Raquel Lopez-Arza, a recent collaborator of Hoface International Autism School with a passion for special education. Hailing from Spain, Raquel brings a wealth of experience in working with children with special needs, having dedicated her career to their growth and development.
Currently in Kenya, with previous collaborations across continents, including Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo brings Raquel a wealth of experience in international cooperation projects. Her dedication and expertise make her a valuable asset to our team.
As a volunteer at Hoface International Autism School, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside Raquel and other passionate educators, contributing your skills and resources to enrich the lives of children with autism.
